In order to respond to the nation’s call of building Beijing into “Four Centers” (namely, China’s political center, cultural center, international communication center and technology innovation center), help the construction of Beijing as an international communication center, implement the spirit of the University’s 15th Party Congress, attract more high-level international students to study in Beijing and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), and solve the difficulties and blockages in career planning for international students in BUPT, the International Student Affairs Office of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department at BUPT launched the “To Beijing - Career Planning Activities for International Students”.
On November 29, the International Student Affairs Office of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department organized international students in BUPT to participate in the “Recruitment Fair for Global Talents 2021” held by the Beijing Overseas Talents Center. Relevant corporate leaders from China Daily, ByteDance and Xiaomi Group were specially invited to do online corporate presentations for the international youth, and many international students of BUPT from Japan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), Pakistan and other countries participated in the Fair online. Eppie, a senior student from Angola, said, “It is very helpful. I am very grateful to the University for providing such an opportunity. I will also submit my resume to relevant companies.”
The Fair was opened by the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Overseas Talents Center who briefly introduced the situation of the Recruitment Fair for Global Talents. Then, in the publicity session, relevant corporate leaders of each enterprise introduced their company’s profile, corporate culture, corporate talent training strategy and specific situations of recruitment positions. In the Q&A session, the international students communicated with relevant corporate leaders on their professional counterparts, as well as the enterprise development platforms and opportunities. Through this event, the Department hopes to broaden employment channels and build more employment platforms for international students in BUPT, and continuously enrich their study life abroad.
